We are proud of our reputation for great service and care.
My name is Volanta McCall and I have been with Springhill Home Health & Hospice for 10 wonderful years. I enjoy my coworkers and my work environment. We have an amazing team that works well together. I also love being able to assist clients with their daily needs. I am grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference in our patients’ lives.
I love being a Hospice nurse and working at Springhill Home Health & Hospice. I feel like my co-workers are my second family.
The two most important times in a person’s life are the day they are born and the day they die. The difference is: no one gets to choose who will be present the day they are born. When a terminally ill patient chooses Springhill Home Health & Hospice, it is a privilege they have chosen you to be present at their death.
Springhill Home Health and Hospice provides excellent, compassionate care. I am so thankful and proud to be a part of the team. I love my job!
I have been a minister for many years and have served in many capacities, but nothing has been more rewarding than the work I’ve been privileged to do through Springhill Hospice. As a Chaplain, to be able to meet and provide spiritual support to patients and families grappling with life-limiting illnesses has been a sacred experience that is humbling and inspiring. As a Bereavement Coordinator, when families encounter loss, it’s been an honor to walk beside those who have suffered and assist them in navigating a most difficult season of life. I believe my co-workers at Springhill Hospice are some of the best and brightest people I’ve ever met, and they go the extra mile to provide comfort and care to people in need.
One of the great lessons I have observed in doing Chaplaincy and Bereavement work is to witness the great diversity of people, backgrounds, and experiences while also observing the commonality we all have in wanting love, peace, security, and comfort. I have been reminded in this work that we are all in this thing of life together and are here to make the world a better place and to do our best to be part of it!
As a native of Mobile, growing up in the Prichard community, I’ve always been drawn to helping others improve their quality of life and simply bringing a smile to someone’s face. My daily work tasks have definitely allowed me to continue to do just that. Working for a company that values integrity and family is a true definition of success.
My name is Alexis Norwood, I am from Beauregard, Alabama. I moved to Mobile in 2015 to attend the University of South Alabama. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Health Administration. I was recently accepted at South Alabama for their Master’s Program in Special Education. Before I became an employee here at Spring Hill Home Health & Hospice, I volunteered the year of 2017 to gain more experience in the health field. I was 20 years old when I joined my team. This makes me the youngest employee at our location. What I enjoy most about my job is our working environment. Everybody works together to meet and accomplish our goals. My teammates have always been inspirational role models to me. They have helped me to understand the importance in Hospice and Palliative care. We work together as a team to deliver the best patient care to our patients. I hate to brag, but we receive an award for the BEST Hospice Caregiver Satisfaction which shows our care and dedication to our patients.
