14 years ago, Hospice of North Alabama took a chance and hired a clinical liaison to help spread the word to the community about their services and the hospice benefit. That person was me – Shellee Blaxton. From day one, I was dedicated to pursuing our mission and spreading the word about hospice. Someone out there is struggling with pain control, or nausea, or wound care, with an end stage disease, and needing help – not knowing where to turn. Hospice of North Alabama’s mission is to find them.
I have proudly served as a Clinical Liaison with Hospice of North Alabama for 14 years now. Each day, it is my job and pleasure to work with patients and their families through educating them about hospice and our amazing clinical care team. We all work together to offer support and love during the hardest time they will ever face in their life.
It has been an honor to serve others, a true mission. I’m blessed every day that my job is to talk to a family, physician or facility about the hospice benefit and all Hospice of North Alabama can offer at the end of life.
